Hyatt Centric Dehradun

Visited Hyatt on 5th and 6th Jan 2024. Convenient Location on Rajpura Road. Dine there, buffet offered variety of food. I tried paneer, mushroom, Dal and Gajar Halwa. Also non-veg snacks. Every bit of it was worth tasting. Fortunately met the chef also and he offered Dahi Broccoli 🥦. I never though Broccoli can ever taste that good. Over all an amazing experience visiting Hyatt Centric Dehradoon.

I recently booked a room at this hotel with high expectations, given its 5-star rating and the fact that it was newly constructed. While the hotel's look was modern and the room was spacious and comfortable with a good bed, I was left underwhelmed by several aspects of my stay. The disappointments began with the bathroom, as I expected a 5-star hotel to have a bathtub and there was none. The swimming pool was another disappointment. Not only was it not heated, but its location on the terrace made the water even colder, rendering it almost unusable. A heated pool is something I'd consider essential in a luxury hotel, especially if you're traveling during cooler seasons. Then came the fact that there was no jacuzzi and I usually found it next to the swimming pool. The air conditioning in the room was another point of frustration. It consistently underperformed, struggling to maintain the temperature I had set. I found myself either too hot or too cold, and the inability to get a comfortable night's sleep was a significant issue. After the first night of struggle, we made a complaint and got a technician sent out. When we explained that even after setting it to 22 degrees, the room temperature never came down 25. I was surprised that he called this behavior normal and "educated" us that a temperature gap is always expected and that we need to set the temperature 2 to 3 degrees below what we need it to be. In any case, we tried setting it to 18 the second night and again, the room temperature never came down below 23 (5 degree gap) and yet it didn't actually feel like 23 and we were still sweating under the comforter/rug, which probably means there is also an issue with the air circulation. Furthermore, I was surprised to find that the room lacked energy-saving features. Simple things like automatically cutting off electricity when leaving the room has been a common feature lately, so being environmentally conscious, we had to turn off each and every switch before leaving but I doubt many do that. Overall, while the hotel's appearance and room comfort were good, the lack of expected amenities, the underperforming air conditioning, mediocre and slow room service, and the absence of energy-saving provisions left me underwhelmed. The experience I got is closer to a 3 star hotel and I would not recommend this especially for those on vacation who would want to relax after coming back tired from a whole day site-seeing tour.

Staying here since yesterday....everything here can be safely called substandard......right from the amenities in the room ( TV and phone not working ) to the food served at their restaurant , room service , and the speed at which the reception responds to your needs. The most notable is the pathetic breakfast buffet with stale cold cuts and cheese and really dry n cold croissants n breads. The only good thing was the repeated sets of apologies we got from all the staff ( sometimes served with sweets n sweeter notes in our room) , but not sure how that helped. The room rent was at par with that in any fancy five star ( 16k per night for bed n breakfast for 3) but nothing was at par with any other 5star hotel. Everything shouts apology ....that the management feels is necessary as they themselves know how bad things are

My stay at this hotel was horrible and pathetic. From the moment we checked in to the check out, it was disappointing. Our safe did not work, staff was repeatedly told and in 4 days stay no one fixed it. Every day until 2 AM in the morning there was so much noise coming from above our room. I did not sleep for 3 days. staff did not listen to our complaints and acted clueless. Poorly trained staff and even worse manager. Seems like no one knows the word hospitality and don’t have any care for their guests. Extremely disappointed and will never recommend any one to stay here. A local hotel will be better than this Hyatt chain.

This was earlier 4 points by Sheraton . I am largely dissatisfied with services of both Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Centric in Dehradun. This hotel has a location advantage in Dehradun, I wish they capitalise on it and make experience better for in-house guests. Food service is delayed but the taste and quantity is good. The hotel is not yet equipped to handle in case of 100 percent occupancy like running short of extra bed, delay in breakfast services. I was a Hyatt Dining club member but chose not to renew my membership.

We planned for a dinner at Hyatt centric, I’m a platinum member but it seems like their staff thinks otherwise. We ordered a wine and I showed my voucher to avail it and the staff member ANUBHAV at the restaurant constantly denied it by saying I can’t coz it’s festival, I asked him to redeem it and he didn’t till last, their was a constant argument from his side giving unreasonable conditions n all, at last when the senior manager came he gave us the wine, but you guys should take a note of ppl you hire. I’m a proud club diners member but these type of staff reflects your commitment towards service. We asked the wine coz we paid thousand of rupees for membership. Hope the condition improves.
